Legal Challenges For Entrepreneurs

The session will provide helpful guide and tips on key legal issues and challenges that may affect early stage ventures (with focus on tech), and will cover IP protection, founders' arrangements, investment rounds and other topics. 

Mr. Nashef is a Partner in the Corporate and Hi Tech Groups at the international law firm of Pearl Cohen Zedek Latzer Baratz, which operates from offices in NY, Boston, London and Tel Aviv. His practices covers a broad range of general corporate, technology and commercial matters. In particular, Mr. Nashef focuses his practice on venture capital equity and debt financing and acquisitions and representing entrepreneurs and venture-backed start-ups (especially in internet, e-commerce, computer software and hardware) in all stages, of development from incorporation to exit. 

Mr. Nashef also counsels mature technology companies on different aspects of corporate law and represents local and international VCs and other investors in their portfolio investments. He is also experienced in negotiating different types of complex commercial agreements, including licensing, distribution and franchise agreements and other cross-border transactions. Before Pearl Cohen, Mr. Nashef was a Senior Associate in the Hi Tech & Venture Law Group at another leading law firm. He frequently addresses startups and entrepreneurs in different forums, workshops and trainings.
